Myspace BackgroundsChris Saas: Bass, Backup Vocals, pk-5a midi pedal (www.chrissaas.com) -A five-string bassist who originally started out playing drums at 16. After playing with numerous friends Chris had joined the cover band, "The Rituals Of Tragedy". After a couple of years he joined forces with a vocalist and guitar player from Connecticut to form "Stranglehold". After a year of searching for a bassist he decided to switch over to bass. With the bass guitar being able to be percussive and melodic at the same time it turns out he had found his calling. After Stranglehold dissolved Chris took over bass duties in the all original band "Know Idea", who went on to record a full length CD. After making a move to Florida with Know Idea’s lead singer Chris returned back to NY to then join local metal band "Prowlr". Based out of Westchester New York, Prowlr had just recently recorded a full length cd, and were playing out to promote it. After about a year, Chris chose to leave the band due to lack of dedication on their part. Three years later, Chris joined up with Westchester metal band “Sanction” (www.myspace.com/sanction456). Soon after, his good friend Greg Rapaport approached him with an offer to play with his instrumental original band www.gregrapaport.com. Chris's influences include: Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, Jeff Berlin, Justin Chancellor, Rex Brown, John Myung, and Pete Perez.
