Terry Lee was, in the early 80's one of the drummers with Adam and the Ants.
Arguably the biggest musical phenomena of the New Romantic era, The Ants scored a string of top ten hits, and broke the hearts of many a teenager with their swaggering swashbuckling style, colourful imagery and fat Burundi beats.
The Ants literally exploded onto the UK music scene with their first performance of "Dog eat Dog" on top of the pops. And what followed was Two years of Post-punk style mayhem. The two albums "Kings of the wild frontier", and "Prince Charming" were a class apart. The Ants had a unique style, they sounded like no one else, and no one else could hope to imitate them.
Led by the charismatic, tortured genius of Stuart Leslie Goddard (aka Adam Ant) they were unstoppable. Or so it seemed.
It came as a huge shock to not only the fans, but also the band, when Adam declared he was going solo towards the end of the incredibly successful "Prince charming review" tour.
Many people feel that was a mistake. For certain had the band stayed together further glory would have been inevitable.
