Episode: 1 What happens?: Denise announces that she's pregnant as the theme to Corrie starts on the box. Barb rings Norma to share the news but she's too busy watching Coronation Street. Cheryl, Joe and Mary come round to celebrate. Opening shot: Dave and Denise's wedding photo on the mantlepiece. Who’s in it?: Jim, Barbara, Denise, Dave, Anthony, Cheryl, Mary and Joe. Food & Drink: Bacon butties all round. Bottle of Asti from the shop (to celebrate.) Dave and Denise's tea was Dairylea on toast. No of fags smoked: 2 The size of the baby: The size of a little nut.Episode: 2 What happens?: Sunday dinner for all the family (and Twiggy.) Dave and Denise have a tiff about his failure to move his old bike out of the boxroom. First signs that Barbara is on the change. Opening shot: Barbara cutting up a beef joint. Who’s in it?: Jim, Barbara, Norma, Dave, Denise, Anthony, Twiggy. Food & Drink: Sunday dinner: meat, potatoes and veg. Tinned fruit and squirty cream for afters, followed by a cup of tea. No of fags smoked: 2Episode: 3 What happens?: The family watch "Changing Rooms" and get ideas about decorating. Everyone serenades Anthony with "That's Amore" when he comes home from a date with Emma. Later on, the family sing old TV ad tunes before Ant tells them about his new band - "Exit" (so called then they'll have their name in lights wherever they play.) Opening shot: Barb and Jim watching telly. Who’s in it?: Barbara, Jim, Denise, Dave, Anthony. Food & Drink: Cups of tea, wagon wheel for Denise and clubs and penguins for the rest. Dave and Denise's tea was spaghetti hoops. No of fags smoked: 1Episode: 4 What happens?: Norma is round recovering from a cataract operation. Jim hatches a plan for Dave to pester him into going for a pint - needless to say, it backfires. Anthony has dyed his hair and Exit have split up. Opening shot: Nana's hands crossed over her handbag as she sleeps. Who’s in it?:Norma, Jim, Barbara, Dave, Denise, Anthony, Cheryl. Food & Drink: Club biscuits. Dave and Denise's tea was nothing as Denise couldn't be bothered cooking. No of fags smoked:2 The size of the baby: The size of an orangeEpisode: 5 What happens?: Barbara is on "the change"; she bursts into tears in the kitchen then storms out of the house. After Dave and Denise have a tiff, they (and Jim) settle down to watch Who wants to be a Millionaire. Jim eventually makes everyone a brew as he is a "family man". Opening shot: Jim sat looking at a TV - which is turned off. Who’s in it?: Jim, Barbara, Dave, Denise. Food & Drink: Chocolate bar for Denise, cups of tea (made by Jim for once!), Penguins. No of fags smoked:2 The size of the baby: The size of a grapefruit.Episode: 6 What happens?: It's Anthony's 18th birthday party and his present is a knocked-off sovereign ring obtained by Twiggy. The Royles get their first glimpse of Emma - Ant's vegetarian girlfriend. At the end, a drunk Joe serenades everyone with his rendition of I Will Take You Home Kathleen.
