If I didn't travel, I'd just feel so constrained. In every city there's a set number of archetypes in play. It's part of what makes the essence of Los Angeles detectable, or Berlin, or anywhere, to outsiders as well as ourselves. Stereotypes, yes, but also something deeper in the cultural fabric. Wearing a hybridization of influences well poses challenges.
