About Me

I'm happily married to a wonderful librarian lady. I have a decent job, and a modest house, and I enjoy photography, art museums, and off beat and obscure anything be it food, films, places, music, or whatever.I enjoy playing a little guitar and am currently taking lessons. Right now I'm in the very unpolished and need lots more practice before anyone would be able to tolerate listening to me stage. Hardly being much of a musician, I just love good music, and among my favorites is the complex, intricate and texturally rich, diverse and beautiful Progressive Rock genre.Live music is the best. As long as it's well performed, I'm open to many different styles. I'm trying to do some blogging to keep track of the concerts I see this year. So far this year, I've seen: 1/25/2008: The Beige Channel, Twisted Pair, Axe Iron Suns 2/16/2008: Wrong, Vomlette 2/29/2008: Keller Williams , 3/2/2008: Natalie MacMaster, 3/7/2008: Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion, Iris Dement 3/11/2008: Saul Zonana, Adrian Belew Power Trio 3/13/2008: The Bad Plus 3/14/2008: Bob Marley- comedian 3/23/2008: Alex Skolnick Trio 3/28/2008: Mongolian Fusion Urantugs and Luther 4/3/2008: One Night Of Queen performed by Gary Mullen & The Works 4/5/2008: Lemur 4/6/2008: The Music of Weather Report 4/8/2008: The Energy, The Republic Tigers, Tally Hall, 4/12/2008: Mutlu, Joe Jackson, 4/30/2008: Eli "Paperboy" Reed, Nick Lowe 5/2/2008: Rites of Spring Festival w/GPS, Ambrosia ,Blind Ego, Ritual, RPWL, Circa, Credo, Black Bonzo, Wishbone Ash, Crack the Sky, 5/18/2008: Progressive Nation Tour, 3, Between The Buried And Me, Opeth, Dream Theater, 5/31/2008: TransPose, w/ Shelley Burgon playing the Electronic Instrument of the Future, 6/8/2008: Chris O'Connor, Adrian Belew, 6/12/2008: Toad the Wet Sprocket, 6/20/2008 – 6/22/08 : NEARFest X, Synergy, Fish, KOENJIHYAKKEI, Discipline, Peter Hammill, Liquid Tension Experiment, Mörglbl, Radio Massacre International, Echolyn, 6/29/2008: Power of Prog Festival, Laurie Larson, Tim Lowly Ensemble, Acoustic Trauma, Souljourners, The Watch, Rocket Scientists w/ Lane Lane, Cathedral *unfortunate weather and power surge prevented their performance :(, 7/3/2008: Green Jellÿ, 7/10/2008: Robyn Hitchcock, 7/12/2008: Bang on a Can Summer Festival with compositions by Brad Lubman, Pauline Oliveros, and Evan Ziporyn, 7/19/2008: Boston Symphnoy Orchestra, 7/28/2008: Ashley Pond, Aimee Mann, 7/29/2008: Asylum Street Spankers
