ASHAYE

About Me

Ashaye started his Music career under the managerial guidance of the late Steve Walsh in a group called Earthline Connection. It was not long before Ashaye signed up with R&B Records to release a Micheal Jackson medley, which reached the national charts. After his slight brush with fame but not quite fortune Ashaye teamed up with musicains/songwriters Robert Chandler, Nick Austin and Alex Palmer. Ashaye's writing acumen came to emince working with these musicians , and under the new label V4 Visions - other hits soon followed.'What's this World coming to', received rave reviews (Blues & Soul, Touch, Echoes) and the success was further resounded by entering the Kiss FM & Choice FM chart. Not only did Ashaye have success with 'What's this World coming to', but this was closely followed by an outstanding garage track called 'Fantasty' licenced to NYC Strictly Rhythm label - a smash hit in the US charts. Other tunes from the Ashaye stable included the slightly hypnotic track 'Dreaming' where Ashaye's smooth vocals appear to leave the listener in another dimension. With the departure of V4 visions, Ashaye moved on to form a band called Zone 22 with former member Nick Austin. The unique fusion of sounds created a great underground EP which was popular on the dance scene. A unique R'n'B sound was mixed with a Garage/Hip Hop feel to make the music stand out from the other mainstream groups.
