Born in Liverpool, we emigrated to Ontario, Canada in about 1974 (the headline in the Times was "Will the last person to leave the country please turn off the lights!"). Mum's Scottish and was brought up in a children's home so all her brothers and sister had been shipped to Canada so that's why we went there I think! Lived in Hamilton, Ontario and went to Churchill High School for a year then we moved out to Stoney Creek and I had to go to Saltfleet which I didn't like much! Got into trouble regularly and went to Winona for a year then the Hamilton Collegiate Institute. Was an Ontario Scholar despite not attending school very often because I was acting in plays all over the place and managed to get a place in McMaster University. Took out Canadian Citizenship. Lived in Dundas in the swamp house for 3 years before returning to Liverpool in 1985. Now live in Hertfordshire with my fantastic kids who were born in Liverpool and various assorted pets. Still involved in Drama and am currently setting up a Community Interest Company with 3 fantastically talented friends. It's called 4 am (for arts and music) and I'm really happy and proud to be involved. I think that's all - so as my mate Trevor says I'm half Canadian and half Scouse so I will steal your hubcabs in a boring way - nice eh?
