Music:
So, I guess I am a little weird when it comes to music. Right now, when listening to music on my lap top, I am heavily into Christian metal; I like a lot of bands from Solid State Records: Demon Hunter, Norma Jean, August Burns Red and so forth. When in the car, I predominately listen to Air 1. When it comes to actually playing music, I have been on an acoustic driven rock kick, but I love playing jazz and blues on the bass. I have played in bands ranging from southern gospel to speed metal. I even did a stint in a Blues Brothers cover band. I am still learning the funky slap bass stuff, I guess it didn't come naturally to me, so I've really had to work at it. I have a decent voice, and wouldn't mind fronting a band, if it came right down to it, but I am a very strong back up vocalist. If there is a harmony part to be found, (and when is there not?) I can sing it. I like to brag that I can harmonize with anyone, and that is probably not a far stretch. I write music, both lyrically and the arrangement, but a lot of time I have trouble with the vocal melody.

Action, horror, sci fi. All of them. BUT...Wayne's World was the greatest movie ever made!

Mema, who left this life in January of '05; she taught me to meet adversity head on, and how to be positive when times are hard. My uncle and cousin: Curtis and Jerry Thorpe who kept me spiritually grounded. My uncle Jay who fueled my love for science. Mr. Hardy, one of the greatest teachers ever, took that love for science, and refined it. Our fighting men and women... you keep doing what you're doing, and I'll gas up your air support.
