I love books and reading is one of my favorite pastimes. I love the bible as a collection of stories as I am not religious. It's probably my favorite book. You can find just about every story in that book, and great poems... it's a work of sheer genius. Sadly, most people have never read the entire Bible but everyone has an opinion about it. Get a modern translation if that Shakespeare language bothers you. Intelligent people realize they shouldn't make asinine comments about books they've never read but I can only dream. It isn't a collection of "Thou shall nots" but rather a collection of amazing stories and a glimpse into earlier civilization. It makes me realize there is nothing new under the sun. One of my favorite books in the Bible is Leviticus because it's mostly about diet and nutrition. Many of the religious fanatics, the atheist and the agnostics have given the good book a bad name. I also love books on health, nutrition, and acting. I love a good play I especially love a great autobiography due to my slight aversion to fiction, but I've read most of the classics One of my favorite autobiographies... That book played a significant role in who I am today... I read it many many years ago. I also loved Sammy Davis Junior's autobiography I Think I Can it's brilliant. Read The Satanic Bible if you want a good laugh. I don't particularly care for fiction, because really, that's what films are for. Currently reading True and False by David Mamet again. 5/17/07 A Moveable Feast, Ernest Hemingway wow.. Love that book!!! 10/23/06 Meditation Path to the Deepest Self I bought this book a few years ago, read some of it... it's very engaging and it's about Chakra meditation... I'm reading it again since I'm practicing chakra meditation much more diligently these days. 1/7/07 The audacity of hope... Barrack Obama last year The Power of the Actor... Ivana ChubbuckBooks on my "to read" list... the Quran,
