Hi, my name is Haddy Folivi (formally Haddy Njie, but I gave my maiden name away when I got married!) and I am a music journalist living and working in London. In my 10 year career, I have interviewed a huge number of artists including Usher, Destiny’s Child, 112, Jodeci, Mya, Wycleaf Jean, Pras, Jagged Edge, Tevin Campbell, Lemar, Faithless – the list really does go on. I have also written for a number of publications including Echoes, New Nation, Touch magazine and I also had a stint on Liberty Radio. Writing has always been in my genes but was birthed after I wrote to a publication, asking for work experience. Desperate to get my first article published, I interviewed a good friend and music artist called Chosan, wrote up the article and sent it to a paper begging for the article to be published. The music editor was so impressed, he said forget the work experience, your hired and thus Haddy the journalist was born. It has been a fun journey, filled with deadlines, great interviews and ….more deadlines.
