I was raised by the nuns of the St. Marie de Coquette sans l'Honte girls' school in Camargue, France. I knew I had "the calling" and when I was old enough, I joined the Convent of Maria Pia Liberalis. Unfortunately they were not as liberal as the name implies and I was caught raiding the convent coffers one day (I was looking for those
so-called "pearls" of wisdom) and was given a sound thrashing. Which I kind of liked. Alas, they transferred me to the Convent of Mary Immaculate but I soon became fast friends with fellow Sisters Faith and Hope. One dark night, our convent was invaded by rogue, flesh-eating zombies! Our Mother Superior was torn apart in front of our very eyes but we three managed to escape- Faith, Hope and I. As fate would have it, the very next morning we were skinny-dipping in the lake on the way to devoting the rest of our lives to helping the poor in the 3rd World when a (very adorable) Zombie Pug got close enough to bite us.Well, we were zombified within hours. At first, it felt like a VERY bad case of the flu, and then there's the whole "complexion modification" thing - but it was pretty easy to get used to. We all three felt lost at first, but we soon discovered that we were not
alone! We made a bunch of new zombie friends who showed us that life, or rather, death (un-death?) can be generously full of fun, passion, free-love, free human buffets, and joie de vie or...joie de mort? We had embraced our inner zombies!Apparently some people heard about our story and are now making a movie about our experiences, although they have turned the story into a musical, making us singing, dancing, zombie nuns ex-communicado! Just between you and me, Faith had a hard time, you know, converting... so, we thought she should be the "star" of this film, bless her undead heart. Anyway, I have a book deal in the works: "Sweet Charity: Memoirs of a Zombie Girl", which I hope to follow closely with "Deadly Damsels: Kisses of Death in European Literature."
