Funky Divas are a collective of 4 female House music Djs.DJ Jolie - Jolie has been DJing professionally since 1995 playing in clubs around London, the UK and worldwide. In december 2003 she won the 'Best DJ' award at the underground music awards. Since then, doors have opened and promoters and club owners have accepted her as one of the 'big boys'. In March 2006 she was voted into the top 100 female DJ's list at number 36 worldwide and 9th in the UK. In the fiercely competitve world of DJing, Jolie's originality and upfront rolling music selection has kept her at the forefront of the London club scene. Expressing her music on her resident radio show Shine 87.9 fm (www.shine879.com) weekly on Mondays 8-10pm GMT, this has given Jolie the chance to reach people who wouldn't normally have heard her DJ and also educate people into the importance of new and ever changing House music. Jolie just recently came back from playing a DJ set in Kuwait. An open air private party in the middle of the desert and the first female DJ to play there. An amazing experience and she was warmly welcomed.Lady H - 21 year old Lady H is the most vibrant, striking female DJ to emerge from the Uk. Without a doubt she has achieved the kind of success many could only dream and desire. Lady H caught the turntable fever at the early age of 15 and began a life in front of the decks, entertaining and performing to crowds in her local area. She has progressively eradicated barriers for other female DJs throughout the UK and holds a dedicated following. Lady H is renowned for her diverse blend Funky House, Dance and Old School Tunes. Her unique style of delivery keeps crowds constantly engrossed and surprised. She can be found performing as resident DJ at the exclusive spot Tiger Tiger in London, Vanilla Bar Windsor and Digress City in Moorgate London. Lady Spirit is one of the most respected and talented Club DJs in London. She has been dj-ing since 1991 her musical collection started in 1988-89 (better known to the underground scene as the summer of love) she played at warehouse parties and stared her career on the underground circuit of Clubs and Pirate radio. The second stage of her career was playing Drum and Bass and she was a resident in Londons West End at Spirit of the Jungle alongside DJ Rap and DJ Ashatak, following on from there, as drum and bass became less musical she progressed to playing more soulful House and Garage (back to her roots again!). She has made several guest appearances on Radio 1 and Kiss 100 FM and she has several residencies in London and has travelled the UK and most of Europe DJ-ing. In 1999 She was responsible for the remix of Public Demand/Lenny Fontanas smash hit 'Spirit of the Sun' better known on the dance-floor as Shine On, and has a catalogue of garage Productions under her belt, including another called Sugar Free used in the UK Movie Goodbye Charlie Bright. In 2002 she was voted the UKs Best Female Club DJ at the UK Sidewinder Garage Awards.
