AOD was started in the halls of Southeastern High School in August of 2005 to show SE and the world that there are still metalheads of all ages out there. Jacob Davis(guitarist) decided to ask William Harris(guitarist/vocalist) if he was interested in starting a band. He also asked his long time friend Mikey Skeens(drummer) to join in and Matt Harper(bass/vocals) was also contacted to join. Will and Matt had previously been part of a failed project called Malice, started by William Harris. Practices followed within the next month and the members worked together nicely and decided on the name Silence No More, but later changed to Age of Distrust due to another unlabelled, but more well known band with the same name. Southeastern school have since expelled one band member and may have a hidden agenda against the rest. There was a line-up change on the 28th of December in 2006, Dalton Vancuren was recruited as the new drummer to open up with AOD in the new year of 2007. Dalton left before the first show of the year because of his dad. So the steadfast members of AOD opted to bring Mikey Skeens back into the group. Mikey accepted and started again with a better attitude about music. He has since gotten a new drum set and continues to play so hard that his cymbals bend and break. After professional AND personal reasons this time, Mikey was out again and Dalton was back in. He had since moved in with his mom and was able to do more. But being to lazy, left us hangin'. Mikey offered to temp untill we found a new member. That day was July 22, the day after mikey offered to temp. The man's name is John Fucking Dayton. He has been the best thing to happen to AOD since a PA system and a practice space! The four started recording with 494 Studios on November 10, 2007 thanks to it's founder and owner Jarlock Darkstar of Lunarium (www.myspace.com/lunarium). 2008 begins a new year with the Distrust on the rise!We will stand firm while others fall.
