Made up of Jason Sanchez, Martin Robillard and Cristian Aubin, laval suggests a post-rock quality, with a disquieting ambiance where each piece is a story of its own, encompassing a sequel of distinct chapters. Without reinventing the post-rock rules, the sinuous and sometimes unconnected melodies of the group and their repetitive and hypnotic rhythms creep into our subconscious. Their first album, Memory Folder, contains essentially nine instrumental pieces, one as different from the other.
