I enjoy finding truth in things. I think that all truth is from God, and that he wants people to seek it out. God speaks through just about everything. I say speaks because i used to say God is in everything, then i realized that that was Pantheism, and I'm not a dirty hippy; but the meaning is still the same.
Theres been some lame stuff done in the name of Jesus for the past, um... 2000 years. So what do we do about it?
If you are a christian: Stop complaining about how screwed up the American Church is, and start loving people. Learn from people who don't share your beliefs. Truth is universal; start looking for it outside of CS Lewis and Blue Like Jazz.
If you're totally pissed at christians: I'm really sorry. I've been there and I understand. I don't want anything to do with the Prosperity Gospel either. God wants people who will seek him for who he is, not what he's going to give them. The fact that you hate most of what's done in his name actually puts you closer to his heart that you can imagine.
