Spirituality, politics, organizing, my family, my home, gardening, being creative. I also am proud to say I've gotten arrested for numerous act of civil disobedience here in Las Vegas. One of my proudest moments ever was getting arrested with Frontier Strikers for participating in a sit-down on the Las Vegas Strip. (Thank God for those brave strikers...without them and their 6 year,4 month and 10 day long struggle...most of the organizing that has gone on in Las Vegas wouldn't even be possible. They and their organizers were a rock for the rest to be built upon.)There were 98 of us that sat down in the street that day and after that, I was hooked on it. I haven't been arrested now for several years and I miss the rush. Pretty funny thing to hear from a grandma, huh? Well, it must run in the family, because the same goes for my Mom. We've been arrested together for our Union. My husband and one of my sons, too. There is nothing like having the courage of your convictions.

Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Steve Miller Band, WAR, The Eagles, The Who, CSNY, Heart, George Harrison and so many more. I still haven't seen Clapton in concert, although I have seen the rest and many more. Oh and how could I forget Stevie Wonder?! His music makes me happy. Also I love to go to concerts. Music is so important in my life. I'm glad I was born in the time that I was because the music was so incredible. The soundtrack of the 60's and 70's was amazing! So glad I was there...

I love to read. I am a voracious reader. I'd love to work in a library. I love all kinds of books...novels, history, self-help and on and on.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Ghandi. Mother Jones. John Lennon. Everyday people who work hard to make a difference, who stand up against the odds to change the status quo.
