About Me

Michael D'Amico is a Toronto based composer, songwriter, photographer and co-Producer, co-hort to Bunny Brown and her amazing songs (see below).He has composed music for projects which have aired on CBC TV, Newsworld, TVO, Discovery, History and Documentary TV and recently he has been re-mastering CDs by Canadian original - Mendelson Joe (Humans Bug Me, Everyone Needs A Pimp). Influences: Musical influences include everything from my dad's old HiFi records (Dean Martin, Jerry Vale, Chubby Checker...) to the keyboard hook in Del Shannon's Runaway and The Beatles, (She's Leaving Home !), to Al Green's drummer's Al Jackson's (!) soulful off-beat to Toronto's 80's punk/alt scene which included The Diodes, Demics & Blue Peter, to Bob Dylan's Oh Mercy, to filmmaker Terry Gilliam's amazing Brazil, to Morrissey telling America what it can do with its hamburger & check out Winnipeg filmmaker Guy Maddin's feature film Brand Upon The Brain if you ever have the chance!
