I've tried my hardest to stay off myspace but after years of aversion I have finally submitted on the most appropriate date, Cinco de Mayo. Well, it may not be the appropriate date but I just noticed it was Cinco de Mayo and I like typing Cinoc(I was told this was misspelled so I won't change it) de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo. Anyways, I am Ameet and I graduated college with a degree in archaeology and am taking 2 years off to just chill out and not worry about anything academic as I plan to pursue a Phd in Roman archaeology.

I don't believe in god but I'm not an atheist. I believe that Buddhist principles are the way to lead you life not because I'm afraid of an invisible asshole who spends every day watching and judging you while not doing anything to protect you. Some prick that thinks you owe them undying loyalty for creating this fucked up race of animals and that somehow manifested himself(or herself I don't give a fuck which one.)in different parts of the world and makes people fight over their different crackpot theories on creation. Why people can't just behave themselves because we are an advanced species that owe it to everyone else in society to lead good lives because it directly benefits everyone else in society eludes my grasp. To me, someone who denies evolution should be considered a vegetable because they have no point in society. You want proof of evolution? What about a fucking VIRUS! It mutates or EVOLVES and we have proof vis-a-vis bird flu and the common cold. I have a theory that this "god" business was the perfect evolutionary tool so that man would be able to think they were destined for something and so needed to persevere and be able to explain the natural world without knowing all the facts. Religion is not thing but a tool of mankind. Like stone tools, they can be discarded as now we know that god is bullshit and we have science. Have any of you people looked at the stars at night and thought to yourself, "Wow, look at that. That was not created by any being but is glorious and is an absolutely beautiful sight." Nature is awe-inspiring and even more so when you realized that it all just came together to look just so perfect. I'm not saying I hate these bible thumping morons, just that I believe they are just that morons. I think if we just collectively ignore them when they talk and/or kick them in the nuts a lot, they'll eventually stop and not be able to procreate to spread their filthy agenda upon the world. But hey, that's just me. I hope you enjoyed this rant and if you got to this point I personally thank you for giving a damn who I am. If I offended your religious sensibilities, then go kill someone in the name of your "god". I don't give a fuck. Also, you're probably at work and really bored like I was at the time I wrote this.
