BDFY Productions. What do we stand for? Good times, good people, getting down to ass-shaking, love-making, record-brakingly good music. Inspired by many, many artists and producers, BDFY was formed just to help the love spread that little bit further, into places that may have been ignorant to the extent of the sonic fruits that surround us, or simply to enhance the party pleasure to those already enlightened souls. In summary, we want to help stick it to The Man. Jack Black said it best in School of Rock when he said... "Give up, just quit, because in this life, you can't win. Yeah, you can try, but in the end you're just gonna lose, big time, because the world is run by the Man. The Man, oh, you don't know the Man. He's everywhere. In the White House... down the hall... Ms. Mullins, she's the Man. And the Man ruined the ozone, he's burning down the Amazon, and he kidnapped Shamu and put her in a chlorine tank! And there used to be a way to stick it to the Man. It was called rock 'n roll, but guess what, oh no, the Man ruined that, too, with a little thing called MTV! So don't waste your time trying to make anything cool or pure or awesome 'cause the Man is just gonna call you a fat washed up loser and crush your soul. So do yourselves a favor and just GIVE UP!" Throughout history, music has helped us stick it to The Man, we at BDFY want to help be a small part of that. From bands such as AKA The Fox, Kasabian to The White Stripes, or Coldcut, Cut Chemist, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Slam, Silicone Soul and many other DJ's, John Peel, Gilles Peterson and others on the radio, helping to bring the People together in sticking it to The Man. Historically we have the Happy Mondays, Jimmy Hendrix, The Stone Roses, Bob Marley, even the old boy Beethoven and many, many others we don't even know about but maybe you, as one of the people, do. They are the facilitators of our freedom. It's about humour, happiness and emotion. It's about passion. It's about energy, bringing the people together to feel the vibe, slow, fast, laid back, frenzied madness, whatever. It's about feeling. Not violence, violence is something none of us believe in as we know evil only breeds more evil, but a measured coming together to say, we won't be controlled. The PC brigade will not suppress our spirit, governments will not trivialise our beings with their oppresive politics. It's all about being free. Creating. That is the reason we party. Why we boogie down to the funky shit. BDFY is created on these foundations. Respect.
