Born in Alberta, Canada. Went to asia when I was 22 and spent the next 24 years there ... mostly Japan, a couple of years in India ... and many weeks in Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal. Spent 5 months in Kashmir ... back in the 70's when it was relatively safe.In Japan I did the obligatory teaching English as a 2nd language for a couple of years ... but on a longer time-scale: freelance-photography, import-export, antique restoration, retail sales, shipping and receiving, computer maintenance, driving around Tokyo in a 2-ton aluminum-box diesel truck, etc.Returned (permanently) from Japan in 1992, entered the CST diploma program at Red Deer College, but after a couple of years, transfered to the BCOM (MIS) bachelor degree program. Moved to Edmoton to complete my degree - graduated in 2002.
