I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Dr. Jigoro Kano, the founder of Kodokan Judo, began an art form with a simple premise, "...for the mutual benefit of all mankind." We at the North American Judo Association undergird all of our training, work, endeavors, and passions, with this same cry, "For the benefit of all!"Through our programs we emphasize character buildingOur mission is to build joyful community around children and to be quickly accepted into the communities and lives of our students as a innovative, celebratory fitness and nutrition program, resounding through the Judo-ka's (judo students) life… and with the child's family. The goal is for the child to develop the love and habit of physical conditioning, competition training, and to if desired, carry forward their newly discovered power of muscular, nutritional and psychological well being into the arena of peer competition. Our mission is to build strength, responsibility, and a personal spirit of fortitude within our young adult Judo-ka's. To take the opportunities provided in the transitional period between youth and adult to further foster the virtues of self-esteem, self-awareness and self-reliance as well as developing a benevolent attitude in learning to recreate the values they have acquired in others. The goal is for young adults to continue developing toward becoming contributing, capable adults in the communities in which they live; to mature, to contribute, to train and to teach. Our mission is to build adult Judo-ka's into the finest expression of tier one competitors, able to compete at every level and to conduct themselves with the utmost of integrity in open randori (competition) as well as on the tournament mat of life. To spend so much time working toward bettering themselves that they have no time to speak or act ill toward others. To consistently strive, to fall forward and never backward, to approach life in a ordered fashion allowing themselves to fulfill the greatest paradigm of Jigoro Kano's Judo, "maximum efficiency, minimal effort."Some of our Goals that we are looking to acchieve:1. Promote the Olympic Sport of Judo.2. Day and Evening Classes that are age and skill graded.3. After School k-12 character building programs.4. Summer Camps.5. College and program Scholarships.6. Helping Judo-kas travel around the world to train.7. Have a world class facility to attract competitors from abroad.8. Have the facility double an emergency disaster shelter.9. Have Guest speakers. We are looking for financial gifts to finish filing our non profit status with the IRS tostart creating a facility with equipment that would support our vision.
