Having read this far is already something of a plus in your favor. I have a somewhat strong academic background, so I tend to lose interest in people, who cannot maintain a decent conversation. A wacky sense of humor, however, goes a very long way. What I value most in others are honesty, kindness, passion, faith in oneself and those close to you, the adventure of living, and an excitement for learning. Life is what you make of it.
