ZyZZx was formed in October 2000. Three friends who all live in the same house in East Northport, Long Island decided to put a band together. The band has a Lounge Rock approach to some very commercial minded music. There are memorable hooks and moods that will intrigue the listener.Julia is the songwriter as well as the vocalist, and 12 string guitarist. Her voice is soft and sensual but has an edge. Dean plays a 5 string bass that backs Julia and also finds its own identity within the music. He adds signature lines and solos that help to establish an intricate sound. Joe is an extremely talented drummer who gives the band the dynamics they possess. There is a natural chemistry that takes the music to thunderous peaks and velvet lows. The band is also very unique in their stylistic approach. Together they have created the ZyZZx sound that is original and compelling.
