The Mod Club, The Avalon Front and Vespa Windsor proudly presentTHE MOD CLUB was founded in Toronto in 1999 by DJ's Mark Holmes and Bobbi Guy. This special themed night was an instant hit with Toronto clubbers and Mod fans alike. Since that opening night, THE MOD CLUB has franchised it's theme nights, with MOD CLUB's now occuring across the country, with successful runs (all still on-going) in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria, as well as right here in Windsor.THE MOD CLUB: WINDSOR began May 3, 2006 at The Avalon Front, a unique and popular lounge/nightclub that was made to partner with THE MOD CLUB, where it still resides. The night features DJ Jamie Greer spinning all night long! From 9pm till 2am, it will be a rump shaking mix of Motown (Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, Temptations, etc.) and Northern Soul (Willie & The Mighty Magnificents, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, etc.) combined with the sweet jangles of 60's UK Rock/Pop (The Kinks, The Who, The Beatles, etc.) and 60's US Garage Rock (The Sonics, The Seeds, etc), add in the sounds of New Wave (Elvis Costello, Depeche Mode, The Cure, etc.), Mod Revivalist (The Jam, The Chords, The Purple Hearts, etc.), Brit Pop (Oasis, Blur, The Verve, etc), 80's/90's Alternative (The Smiths, Stone Roses, Jane's Addiction, etc.), Glam Rock (David Bowie, T. Rex, Roxy Music, etc.), ElectroPop (Ladytron, The Faint, XLover, etc.) and Modern Rock (Interpol, She Wants Revenge, Arcade Fire, etc.).THE MOD CLUB: WINDSOR is sponsored each and every week by VESPA WINDSOR.Doors are at 8pm, music starts at 9pm.There is NEVER a cover charge and $8 Pitchers of Beer specials ALL NIGHT.We hope to see you there!WHERE IS IT?
