The Myth
The story is a little skewed. As it has been passed along it has been changed ever so slightly. Like a book read by several people each adds their own rips,tears, and scuff marks. This is the version we know.
One thing has always been known about Dave Gacey. His interest in the arts has always been at the forfront. through his academic years he would always be found in class bringing life to characters and his creations as he drew them on paper. The passion has always been there but the outlet hasn't always been present. Consistantly praised for his potential he sought out teaching at college. It was during this period a deep change occured in Dave Gacey.
During his stay with the college he discovered a haunted attraction within a small town. This attraction saught out the services of those that could entertain all that came into town. It was here that Gacey discovered another side to himself. We won't say it was a direct rip of his mind but a noticable change occured.
The change created two mind sets. One that appealed to the entertainment side. The need to be in the spot light, or to present material to the masses was filled by Kreepie the Clown. This clown was a character he portrayed in this haunted attraction and transfered over. So when Gacey finds the hunger for the spot light he would don the clown make up and gear.
The other half to this split we will call the ring master, Mister Gacey. the business side. Everything that needed to go on behind the scenes was handled by this persona. Mister Gacey is who every sees 99% of the time. He gets the work done so that the clown can 'play'.
It is Mister Gacey that came up with the idea for The Gacey Family Circus. Always needing an outlet for his work, whether it be film,art,music. He hated having to rely on finding people to work within his ideas. Thus the circus was created.
The Gacey Family Circus stands as this. Every idea under one tent. The company was created so that no matter what project the staff would be in place. A family ideal. If a member of the circus comes to him with a project they want to create then the man power to execute it is there. When Gacey finishes a script he no longer needs to seek out people to act, to do voice over, to hold cameras. The circus supplies itself in that aspect. A member wants to start a band? then the resources will already be there. This is Mister Gacey's play ground.
This is the path that is set. A global take over. With the ring master at the helm of this power house of creation there is no limit. What the future holds, no one knows. Guess we will all have to sit back and watch the show.
