ALL MOD CONS ON X is the name used to promote a huge multi-band, 6T's styled event that took place at NYC's legendary CBGB on 7 July 06. The show at CBGB was amazing!! A great time was had by all as we packed over 200 people into the place to give it a ripping good farewell (it has, sadly, since closed its doors for good...in NYC at least).
With the success of the CBGB gig, it seemed only natural to revive the concept...and so the idea for ALL MOD CONS ON X - PHASE II was hatched. Original AMCoX acts MOD FUN and THE ANDERSON COUNCIL took the stage along with NYC's own LONDON EGG at The Clash Bar on Saturday, November 24th for a night of swingin' mod, garage, & psych-pop sounds! Although the size of the crowd left something to be desired, the bands and DJs were totally fab and the night was thoroughly enjoyable. If you didn't get there, you missed something special.
Be sure to check out our friend Nikki Nova - DJ supreme at WPSC 88.7 FM in northern NJ. She's been known to spin some cool stuff (even Mod Fun on occasion) on her Saturday evening "Illumination Station" show which airs from 6-9 pm and on "The Morning Blend" - weekdays from 6-9 am.
