This artist has turned heads and ears with an emotive, melodic approach to his modern fusion of original Singer-Songwriter / R&B music. Born in Upstate New York, Ameer began singing as soon as he started talking. His first attempts at writing began when he was 10 years old, experimenting with multiple harmonies. He contunued singing throughout school in choruses and musicals. He also took guitar lessons. In High School he was involved in the formation of a Rock band with four of his friends, a collaboration that would last for the next 7 years, with Ameer as the Lead Vocalist. At one point the bands Bassist was asked to leave and Ameer took over and found the excitement of playing smooth grooves underneath his own vocals. The band had limited success, but it formed the basis for Ameer's love of performing live original music for any and every audience. Ameer attended College in Syracuse, N.Y. where he was a Voice major, entering vocal competitions, and winning awards as he had done in High School. His range grew, as did his appreciation of many different styles of music, (having had the opportunity to collaborate with musicians playing in all genres). Fast-forward a few years, and many songs, Ameer found himself in Northern California playing with local indie bands like Mayberry Halo, Starfish 5, and the Wallace Hartleys. Now residing in Sacramento California, Ameer has begun work on his new solo project. This is an artist and a project you will not want to miss.
