I am a Time Lord, an extraterrestrial from the planet Gallifrey, who travels in a time machine called the TARDIS Time And Relative Dimension (or Dimensions) In Space that allows me to reach any point in time and space and is dimensionally transcendental (larger on the inside than on the outside). The TARDIS originally had the ability to disguise itself according to its environment, but became "stuck" in the form of a police box after landing in London in 1963 and has remained in that shape ever since due to a malfunctioning chameleon circuit. I have grown fond of the police box shape and decided to keep it like this.For the most part, and usually because the vessel's navigation system is old and unreliable, I explore the universe at random and I use extensive knowledge of science and advanced technology to heroically avert the crises that I encounter. I have, at various times, been accompanied by companions who have chosen to travel with me for a variety of reasons.
Although I physically resemble a human, as a Time Lord I am physiology different. Like other members of my race, I have two hearts, a respiratory bypass system that allows me to go without breathing for periods of time, and on occasion I exhibit greater strength and stamina than humans. I also exhibited a resistance to temporal distortions and sensitivity to changes in time. I can not take human medicine. It could make me feel very sick, even kill me.
