About Me

About me:
From 2003 to late 2006, Dangermart paired an unapologetically earnest and melodically energetic sound with an aesthetic that evoked the DIY TV heros from the 80s, such as MacGuyver and the A-Team. In many ways, these four Seattle workhorses came together to form a whole that exceeded the sum of its parts, and did so as a study in contrasts. Their attitude was fiercely egalitarian, focusing on the music fans ignored by the traditional 'kings of cool', yet their live show was staged in a shamelessly dramatic and theatrical way. Lead vocalist Timothy Fisher stalked the stage like a Kabuki warrior, emoting as if his inner demons were not metaphorical psychic disturbances, but actual monsters trying to tear their way into the world through his body. Behind him, Jason Welling pogoed around the stage like a jester with a guitar, while the rhythm section surged and roared, powered by Alex Malloy's thundering bass.Dangermart had several drummers over the years. Colin Faddis was an original member, and played all of the band's first shows. When he left due to health reasons, PatRock Zahn filled his shoes, until other commitments got in the way. Greg Owens was the final drummer, and drummed up until the bands dissolution in November of 2006.Since then, Alexander Malloy has picked the guitar back up, and stepped up to the microphone under the aegis of the Golden Robot Army. (myspace.com/goldenrobotarmy) Jason Welling and PatRock Zahn have taken up residence there as well. The sound is very different from that of Dangermart, but astute listeners will note some of the same melodic soul underneath. Timothy Fisher is working on the project Earthworm. Greg Owens packed up the wife and kids and went to the east coast, setting up shop in a suburb of Buffalo, NY. He picked up the guitar, grabbed a mic and is heading up frontman duties for Incite Vulgar. Melodic thrash metal, with a hint of death. (myspace.com/manowskisays)
take care Seattle :)
