I am a 21 year old student of photography. I am currently in the middle of my second year at The International Academy of Design and Technology. I have been interested in photography since my introduction to it, at the age of 9, by a family friend. My interest in the medium remained dormant for a number of years while I focused on writing poetry(which by chance was introduced to me by the same friend). It wasn't until I turned 16 and had my first experience in a darkroom that my early admiration of photography was transformed into a love of it. I would spend hours at a time in the darkroom, even skipping other classes to continue working on my prints. At the time I was relatively naive to the fact that photography meant so much to me. After graduating high school I went to an animation school so awful that it shall remain nameless. It was after finishing my first year there that I realized what I truly want to do. Photography is it.
