"Profit" writes, produces, arranges and performs all of his tracks and vocals.Profit Produced And Performed the theme music for Warren Ballentine’s XM Radio Show. He Also produced and performed the theme music for Mario Armstrong’s “Digital Spin” on XM Radio. He has appeared on countless venues including Rob Parker's "Sports Rap" show on Comcast Cable. The program is hosted by the Detroit News sports columnist as well as Ron Rice of the Detroit Lions.Profit also appeared in "The Real 8 mile," an episode of New York Times pulitzer prize winner Charlie LeDuff's original series "Only in America" on the DiscoveryTimes network.Profit was featured and reviewed in Wayne State University newspaper, The South End. Profit has performed for the American Cancer Society and in various venues across the state including Detroit's Marygrove College. He has also performed at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, University of Michigan, The Cotillion Club in Detroit, The TapRoom in Ypsilanti; TC's Speakeasy in Ypsilanti, The legendary "Attic" in Hamtramck and at ARTS, BEATS & EATS in Pontiac, Michigan.Profit earned his bachelor’s degree in Logistics from the School of Business at Wayne State University on 2007. In 2002, Profit decided to venture into entrepreneurship by incorporating LUV2FLO Entertainment at the age of 20.The independent label specializes in hip hop, jazz, R&B, and rock music as well as audio/video production. Profit has produced music for some of Detroit's top artists including Hip Hop emcee "Lazarus," JMAL The Scholar, femme emcee Ms. Creme and R&B diva Valerie Barrymore. Profit has also mixed and mastered music for countless Detroit hip hop artists including Black Vegas, Tip-C, Tone Tone, and New Skool."Profit" aka Tobias Smith grew up in a single family home, raised by his father. The Chicago native began producing and performing at the age of 15. He received extreme critical acclaim in the Detroit hip-hop arena with his first album "Black Feeling, Black Talk." His father, Timothy "Bama" Smith, a Radio & T.V. professional, saw the raw talent in his son and began teaching him basic music principles. But to make sure "Profit" was ready for the music industry, his dad test-marketedProfit's music.... It proved to be a smash. Profit sold over 5000 copies on the campus of Wayne State University.
