Click here to make your own!Born Alex Mc Curdy on July 15, was raised on Detroit's East-Side was inspired at a young age listening to artist like Notorious B.I.G. 2 pac, Outkast, and Jay Z, to name a few. He started writing music at the age of 9.During his time in Columbus Middle School, AL became friends and music partners with Maurice Travis. Together they began to write and record their own music on a ''Talk Boy'' radio.( We should find out the exact name and brand of the radio) Bonded by their love of hip-hop they began to freestyle around their neighborhood.After the passing of his mother in 2002, AL began to change his views of life and made the decision to persue the music industry as his career. Recently on Mothers's Day AL's father also passed away: his parent's deaths have helped AL continue to focus on his dream of becoming one of the biggest entertainers to be heard. AL and Maurice continues recording and writing songs for there project and let the world hear the talent they poses. AL then recieved the oppurtunity to recieve the MPC 2000XL Drum Machine/Sampler which made there music more complex and expand creatively. The two decided that Maurice would become the producer and learn how to use the machine while AL would be the artist on the first project.In the winter of 2004, Maurice introduced AL to Kevin McKinney who has been producing under his production company KILLUMALL PRODUCTIONS. Kevin admired that not only did AL have serious skills, he also had one of the most qualities, humility. After AL recorded his first song "Cold as Ice" produced by KILLUMALL PRODUCTIONS, Kevin Instantly started calling other companies and manager's to listen to the next upcoming phoenomenon who he felt would make a impact on the industry.AL is currently working with the Management Firm of James E. Woods and Associates, LLC a Michigan based company. Under their management AL is working on his LP and EP. Mr. Woods is the Executive Producer of these projects which are scheduled for release this fall (2007). Alex also known as AL LUV/Tha Hand of Da Mitt performs atleast 10 shows a month, in venues across the metropolitan area including: Dynasty Lounge, Stat Que, Cotillion Club, Toya's Spot, 24k, C-notes."I knows there is no time to waste so he lives everyday as it was his last and make sure that something gets accomplished everyday of the year."
