About Me

I'm a Southern Baptist Pastor who's still attending seminary for those last 3 degrees I plan to get. I absolutely love my time in classes and the academic atmosphere always keeps me happy! Although starting in ministry has provided trauma's and heartaches, God has shown me more than ever, the presence of His Providential Hand in the events of life.I enjoy people (especially old ones!) and most of my ministry positions have been tied to visitation and pastoral activities. Being around the elderly has shaped my worldview as well as priorities. My greatest pleasure is spending time with college buddies, discussing theology/philosophy and crashing at Starbucks for a couple of hours. I love a hustle and bustle life although it sometimes interferes with my laziness.MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider

My Interests

Coffee and Tea, History, Art, Music, Reformed Theology, Rare Antiquarian Books, Pre-modern Philosophy, and 17th to 19th century literature.

I'd like to meet:

I generaly like everybody. If I don't like you, I'm a big enough man to let other people know about it.

Music:

I'm pretty eccelctic in this department. I enjoy Jazz, Classical, Big Band, Christian, and Classic Rock. No Hip-Hop please!

Movies:

"Office Space" has to be one of my favorite movies. The language is a bit rough, but the characters and one liners are some of the most memorable. I generally prefer movies that make me think and independant film houses are always enjoyeable!

Television:

I seldom have time for TV! I suppose 24, and Everybody Loves Raymond are among my favorites.

Books:

The Bible, Pensees, Theologia Germanica, The Works of Jonathan Edwards, Spurgeon's Sermons, History of Britain, etc.

Heroes:

John Calvin, Martin Luther, Francis Schaeffer, Richard Nixon, John Dagg, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and Blaise Pascal are a few of my favorite people!
