Everything Happens For A Reason

About Me

I've been an elementary school teacher for 6 years here in Florida. I'm proud to say that I own my own home and spend most weekends working on it. I coach middle school basketball and tutor students after school during the school year. My one obsession is Irish dance & Irish music. I've seen Lord of the Dance 119 times live in the last 10 years--no really, I have--and love listening to Irish music! I have my own website that is all about Lord of the Dance and the dancers/musicians associated with the show. The website's been around since August 1997 Click here to check it out, or go to http://www.geocities.com/lotdrocks

This is my all-time favorite clip from Ballykissangel! I love this series!

My Interests

Basketball, website design, drawing Disney cartoons, Irish dancing and going to see Lord of the Dance

I'd like to meet:

I've met a lot of the people that I would have wanted to meet--lots of Irish musicians and dancers, including Michael Flatley and Jean Butler. I guess if there were any actors that I would like to meet, they would have to be Jason Isaacs, Robin Williams, and Jim Carrey. Walt Disney would have been an honor to meet, but unfortunately I was born after he passed away.

Click on the map to see where I've been lucky enough to travel to over the past 10 years or so--mostly from my Lord of the Dance travels.

Music:

Anything Irish-- Leahy, Gaelic Storm, Altan, Baal Tinne, Grada, Dervish, Lunasa, Michael McGoldrick, Flook, Off Kilter, Ronan Hardiman, The Bridies. Anything 80's--Phil Collins, U2, INXS, Van Halen, Toto, Foreigner, Huey Lewis & The News, Michael Jackson, Bryan Adams. Some recent stuff-- Clay Aiken, Christina Aguilara, Black Eyed Peas.

Movies:

Back To The Future, The Patriot, Field of Dreams, Dumb & Dumber, Billy Madison, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Harry Potter Movies, The Birdcage, Sister Act I & II, Air Force One, Toy Story 2, Tarzan, Finding Nemo, The Ron Clark Story, Mr. Holland's Opus

Television:

24, Grey's Anatomy, American Idol, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, So You Think You Can Dance, Jeopardy, Dancing With The Stars, Soaps, Fresh Prince, Saved By The Bell, Trading Spaces, While You Were Out, Father Ted, As Time Goes By, Ballykissangel, The Vicar of Dibley

Books:

Anything by Frank McCourt--"Angela's Ashes," "'Tis," "Teacher Man"...and obviously being a teacher, I read a lot of childrens' books. My favorites would have to be the "Captain Underpants" series, "Frog and Toad Are Friends," and "Small Pig."

Heroes:

My parents, grandparents, Ron Clark, and any really good teachers
