The Midwest is hot thanks to Chicago-based rap group Hales Kitchen. Hales Kitchen is comprised of ten members ranging in age from 32 to 17. The group was formed in 1988 by group member Rappadon and producer Baytoven (Bay 2G). It all started when Baytoven created beats - and Rappadon created lyrics.
After the neighborhood heard about Baytoven and Rappadons music, everyone wanted to be a part of the vision. Almost immediately rappers emerged and put together their talents to start making hits. Baytoven, Big Trint, Black Geez, Forensyc, Hale's Angel, Oasis, Phillip Michael, Rappadon, Senamax, Shawn Gotti, and Tommy Jeopardy, collectively known as Hales Kitchen came with a distinctive sound which included clever lyrics and catchy hooks. A product of Chicago's Southside, Hale's Kitchen feeds you hip-hop from varying vantage points through its list of diverse artists.
