I strongly believe that knowledge is power and i thirst for it. I can never learn enough. I live for MUSIC! I honestly don't think I could breathe with out it. I Sing, Write, i am a poet, and still learning the guitar. I have a classical acoustic and an electric. Been writing since high school but been writing song lyrics for like the last 7 years. I enjoy the stage there is no rush like it. The response i get from peoples faces when i sing or do spoken word is the best feeling in the world. Music is my life. I wake up n I lay everyday with a song. Mostly my own. I think if I didn't hear music I would die inside. An aspiring singer/songwriter/poet. Dallas can't get on the map in HipHop if we don't support each other. I'm all about making music that heals people. I pray that God gives me the songs that people can relate to n have fun with. Born, bred, and raised in Dallas, Texas she already has that Southern born Soul. First taking stage in church over the years Lady BSmoove has honed her skills through practice. Passionate about music and poetry her influenced by poets including Paul Lawrence Dunbar and Nikki Giovanni. Musically Stevie Wonder, Frankie Beverly & Maze, and Michael Jackson. Born a child of hip hop she comes to the stage bringing the originality of jazz mixed with poetry. When asked about her style Lady BSmoove is quoted with saying "Expressing myself with words is what I love to do. My artistry comes through my poems and songs. I do my best to take trials and joys of love, mixing them with the true passion of life.” Her musical taste came from first watching her father perform in a local Dallas singing group. Coming from a musical family the gift runs through her blood. ‘I Guess’ is the first single of her debut album entitled “Thought You Knew”. This neo-soul artist pushes the boundaries of neo-soul and hip hop. The album written by Lady BSmoove and executive produced by re-noun artist, writer, and producer Original Soul. This album will have you guessing after its grooves you and never be able to classify her again. The Lady has paid her dues to the arts performing on many stages such as the Gypsy Tea Room, The Internet Café, The Black Academy of Arts and Letters where she shared the stage with Malcolm Jamal Warner. and Hosting at the Kaffa Café. Lady B Smoove will set the mic on fire anywhere once it’s offered, and can be found locally at The Absinthe Lounge. While this business is always a learning experience she is perfecting her skills as Talent Coordinator for her own business SmooveQ’s Entertainment. Lady BSmoove is a published writer in volume’s 4 & 5 of Regent Managements "Voices of Poetry." Besides the stage Lady BSmoove is always about helping others. You will find at each of her shows she collects can goods and used clothing for the needy. “Poetry is about giving back so I do my best to do that at every show”. Wherever she takes the stage Lady B Smoove's style, her artistry of jazz, hip hop, and spoken word moves and captivates her audience, and leaves her mic blazing hot.
