DJ Darz

About Me

Although having only been DJing for just 5 years, Darz has played across the country and further afield, playing some of the biggest and best clubs the UK has to offer. He has performed at some of London's finest clubs including the Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, Egg, Brixton Academy, Hidden, The Scala, Clapham Grand, The Coronet and Heaven to name but a few. Other London gigs played include the house/electro rooms of Wildchild, Peach, Extreme Euphoria, Fusion, Frantic, Heat, Silly Sundays, Twist, Kurruption and Becomeone as well as many others. He has recently rocked the socks off one of Ibiza's best clubs in Eden for the famous Judgement Sunday event for the second time, whilst also DJing around the island at the likes of Kanya, Itica and Savannah, and across England has played at the likes of 2Kinky in Cheshire, Alska in Leicester and the massive Passion night in Coalville.
Darz’s style is his own - fresh and unique, and is described best as simply house/electro/techno. He always keeps it funky with pumping, dirty elements incorporating driving basslines, melodic break downs into build ups and big room house, building his sets with plenty of tension and pressure. Darz's versatility means he can play any sets ranging from house, electro, tech house, progressive house, driving house, minimal, funky house and anything else in between. He is massively influenced by such producers as Shiloh Iman, Shlomi Aber, Guy Gerber, Dousk, Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, Nick & Danny Chatelain, Mike Monday, Richard Dinsdale, Luke Dzierzek, Joachim Garraud, Jim Rivers, whilst loves the sound of Trentemoller, John Dahlback, Danny Freakazoid and Switch amongst many others. Darz’s sets are full of energy generating a massive interaction with the crowd, which he feels is a massive part of being an awesome DJ ensuring the crowd go crazy.
Darz regulary plays alongside some of the UK's finest DJs including The Trophy Twins, The Cheshire Catz, Eddie Halliwell (who even danced on the speakers to Darz’s set at Judgement Sunday in Ibiza!), Deepgroove and Filthy Rich amongst various others, whilst the Scratch Perverts were last seen boogying to one of Darz’s mix cds at an after party somewhere in London…
Passion in Coalville described Darz as “.. AN UP AND COMING DJ WITH A GREAT FUTURE IN CLUBLAND, AND A SERIOUSLY HOT DJING TALENT ABOUT TO MAKE IT BIG!”
After an extremely successful past few years, and with gigs coming up in 2007/8 at some of the UK’s biggest and best clubs and further afield, plus debut tracks on the way, Darz has got a future ahead of him as bright as his personality.
