About Me

Space Brain Are Scum (The Best Of):
Go and buy the fucking thing! Put it in your stockings! Put it your pants! Do anything you want with it, just make sure you buy it!
FAQs:
Q. Is it true this is a spoof band?
A. Selling out two world tours and releasing three hugely successful studio albums is a spoof?
Q. Is it true Bri Jnr. only started to learn to play the guitar during the recording of Back Up The Gullet?
A. Yes, he was annoyed with Tico Jnrs. efforts on the Baby, Let Me In demo.
Q. Are the band splitting up once their eagerly awaited greatest hits is released?
A. No, they split up years ago but keep reforming.
Q. Is it true Bri Jnr. used to get mistaken for Boy George when working at Smith's?
A. Occassionally, people also asked if he was Dame Edna Everage from time to time.
Q. Is there a definative list of people who have influenced / been rippped off by Space Brain?
A. No. Tico Jnr. has kept a journal regarding this but has forgotten to update it for months. That's the rumour, we (within the Space Brain web-site team) believe Bri Jnr. has stolen it from him and is reading it in his spare time.
Q. Does Tico Jnr. have a favourite Space Brain song?
A. Yes.
Q. Does Bri Jnr. have a favourite Space Brain song?
A. Sometimes.
Q. Can I meet the boys?
A. I won't actively encourage you 'trying' to meet them, but if they're in your local Spar buying a smutty magazine and a box of tissues while you're in there, there's no doubt you might end up meeting them! You might even be able to spot one of their adverts in said magazines!
Q. Has Bri Jnr. been in any films?
A. No, other than his 'personal' films. He has done the occasional voice-over though.
Q. Does Bri Jnr. really like toes in his mouth?
A. Yes, but not just any old so-and-so's toes.
Q. Will the band ever release a live DVD?
A. They were going to on a recent tour but there were numerous problems. Everyone involved with the band want a live DVD, it's a good money-spinner.
Q. Do the band write all of their own songs?
A. Yes, some people try and offer / give them material but they're browsed and then destroyed. Any good lines, ideas etc. will be remembered for another time...
Q. What are the band planning next?
A. Check out the site... literally, they're always on here. 'Surfing'.
Q. Is Bri Jnr. over his Sunny Delight addiction?
A. I never knew he had one, he's over his J2o addiction though.
Q. Where did Tico Jnr. get the gurn / raised shoulders signature move from during his guitar solos?
A. A cross between Richie Sambora, Bri Jnr. and Les Dawson.
Space Brain Are Scum (The Best Of):
It's finally here, not quite as the record label intended it but it's definately here! You have to buy this. We have exclusives on this site relating to this great collection of anthems, tears, cum and fire... the band may or may not tour... you'll find out here first!
Sweet Pea EP:
Taking a little longer to make than anticipated, this EP is out and features the most diverse music you'll ever hear! Of course, you know that any Space Brain release is a bit fucked up, but this surpasses that! Read the exclusive blogs to get more info and insight on this little lot!
We Wanted A Really Long Album Title...:
A little under two years after their last album, the band finally get around to unleashing We Wanted A Really Long Album Title (But Had To Settle For This) on the world! The album features the bands most intricate, simple, mature, childish, traditional, non-conformant work to date. Not only have the bands touched untouched territory, they're now playing the unplayable. Get the album, it's the only way you'll get over England failing to make Euro 2008!
The Future:
This year will answer the critics who say the band are the laziest band in the world, second to only Stereophonics. With their longest studio album ever just being released, the band have promised an EP, a rarities album and a greatest hits before the year is out! Check that shit!
The Band:
People doubted their existence could remain following the loss of their former band members, but they're still here and they're louder than ever before!
In a bid to remain fresh, vibrant and raw as ever, the band constantly chop and change band members and search for new sounds by any means possible.
Struggling to live up to their earlier successes (as a complete band), covering TV themes, such as Steptoe and Son, Thundercats, Bananaman and a rip-roaring Jimi Hendrix-esque version of YMCA, the remaining duo appeared to have sold out and gone 'middle of the road' with some power ballads, easy listening tripe...
But, as they assured their army of fans they would, they succeeded in bringing back their earlier glory days to which they played to numerous sell-out crowds and created a huge fan-base in Peru.
The band retain only original members, rather than allowing influences that might pollute the vibes - session musicians are invited on tour and to play on studio recordings, but that's where the romance ends.
Read what you will into this, the band has endured painful times. They found their solace in the 'middle of the road' genre before returning to their roots and discovering harder, heavier and more raw music then ever before. They're going to defy their critics who say they've sold out.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I defy anyone not to witness this band make history.
You have been warned!

Influences: Heather Small, Tina Turner, Our Lady Peace, Barbara Streisand, Brian May, Andrew WK, Syd Barrett, Richie Sambora, Belinda Carlisle, Eagle Eye Cherry, Graham Coxon, Will Young, Jeff Buckley, Kim Wilde, Steely Dan, Mark Owen, Bob Hund, Ronan Keating, Barry Gibb, Brian Johnson, Barry White, Des'ree, Tom Jones, Tico Torres (for his vocal on Only In My Dweams), Simon Tong, Suggs, MC Hammer, Joe Perry, Chantal Kreviazuk, Baz Lurhman, James Renford, Katrina And The Waves, Dana International, Scary Spice, Fats Domino, Mike (And The Mechanics), Shakira, Savage Garden, Blue, CJ Lewis, Culture Club, Cypress Hill, Steve Brookstein... and many more we can't be bothered to list.

Sounds Like: The Scorpions, S Club 7, Bryan Ferry and Seal (the artist, not the / an animal) put into a blender and served with a pickled egg. Optional garnishings include Pearl Jam grated or diced and laced with petrol and burnt, Jay-Z lightly-toasted with parsley... earlier encounters with M.O.R meant the band took on a sound not too dissimilar from a Lilt advert with a bit of British Gas and a dash of Asda adverts. Puddings were always hot and on time... the bands most recent stuff comprises a bit of H.I.V, some W.M.D's, a B.L.T, a large amount of L.R.P carried around by a H.G.V with a C.U.N.T inside. Seriously.
