About Me

I can be a bit of a chameleon in a good, fits-in-many-different-places-likes-to-experience- many-different-things kind of way. I’m a writer and poet, but also have an organized, down to business side, too. I can get spiffy and attend a museum gala and then go trolling for the city’s best BBQ or to see a political film.I would love to go back to school to study languages (I can mangle sentences in French and Spanish) or poetry (I’m not bad!). I like to cook, but prefer to cook for people and not just for myself. Dying to travel more – if the budget will allow – and am itching to go to back to Brazil, where I was a few years ago and to Italy, Spain, and Greece.I adore New York and all its chaos. Usually, my idea of nature is Central Park, but I’m trying to be more adventurous in my appreciation of the outdoors. I want to go fishing (never been) and I can see one day, when I’ve exhausted all the urban possibilities, retiring to the French countryside and hanging up my MetroCard. Friends are really important to me, but I’m also a writer and an only child so I like a good portion of quiet, me time, too. I was born in Atlanta, but have moved around quite a bit (last lived in LA) so no Southern accent here (unless I’m talking to my grandmother on the phone).
