The Yard

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Where to begin...? The Yard began in the backyard of an old Santa Monica craftsman beachhouse, with $5,000 and a picnic table. With no signs or advertisement, we built a great little space around the arts (mostly film and music) and around creating community on the Westside. We eventually outgrew our "clubhouse" and looked for a new space. We found it. Our great new place is on Broadway, just far enough away from the commercial madness and cattle herd that overtake the Promenade. A long community bar down the middle of the restaurant gives folks the opportunity to meet someone new, or congregate with new friends. Our gastropub features great bar food and tapas from the kitchen of Chris Blinde, recently of Rustic Canyon. We have DJs after 10 on Thursday through Saturday, and live music on Sunday nights. Movie screenings will start in the beginning of June, including the revival of Yardfest. Come on out, y'all!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Locals. Artists. Hungry people. Thirsty people.
