I am here for Friends

About Me

I grew up in Cali and have been stuck in the south for the past 7.5 yrs. I don't even sound like the Cali girl that I used to be anymore, so sad. I do hope to return to the west coast in the future. I love the outdoors, such as hiking and camping and 4 wheeling. I love dogs, especially my boxers. I want to go backpacking and rafting in Costa Rica some day. I've been all over the west coast of Mexico and to Guatemala, but hope to travel even more. I love my family and we are very tight. I have 2 brothers, 1 younger and 1 older, and they are each my favorite. My extended family is very large on my mom's side and pretty much have taken over the state of AZ. Being an ASU fan is a must in this family. I love all my friends even the ones I am not as close too. You really appreciate your friends when your job moves you farther and farther away. My goal in life has always been to become a Raiderette (ha ha). I need to get a boob job AND liposuction before I try out though. I also have to say that chocolate covered gummy bears rock and don't judge them until you have tried them. Super Yummy!! '

My Interests

I love playing sports and being active. I love soccer and like to play it along with volleyball and softball and swimming. Of course I like to watch football "GO Raiders". I still have a passion for photography, especially black and white, but I have not put the time into it. One day I will have a house with my own little dark room.

I'd like to meet:

up with my old friends again. The ones that i rarely talk to just to see how things have changed for them. I would like to meet other people who have just started the cancer nightmare that I have hopefully finished. This way I can help them out and they can see that good things can come out at the end of all the trauma. And these guys:

Music:

I love classic rock and hip hop and most other genres of music. I don't like hard core rap or twangy country. I even like classical music and oldies and some jazz. I can pretty much listen to just about anything.

Movies:

I loved 300 (especially all of the beautiful abs) and the Transformers. Comedies like Superbad**McLovin', Grandmas boy, and Reno 911 in Miami (South Be-iotch) . All the brat pack movies of the 80's. My favorite was The Breakfast Club. I love The Nightmare Before Xmas and anything involving Tim Burton, The Fifth Element, and prison movies. I love Johnnie Depp movies and I think he is a great actor.

Television:

Television has really gone downhill for me with allt he rediculous reality shows. Don't get me wrong, I get suckered into watching some of them, but there really isn't much on these days. I do like to watch Forensic files, cold cases, snapped, and all those true crime type shows. I should have been a forensic scientist, but I got stuck int he i want to go to med school tunnel vision. So of course i snapped out of that and joined the Coast Guard. Too funny.

Books:

I like mystery books and books with female heroines. Some authors I like are Michael Crighton, Steven King, Mary Higgins Clark, Danielle Steele, etc...Lately I have not read many books. I read the New Harry Potter the weekend it came out and this other true life book on the life of U.S. Merchant Mariners. I regulate their licenses so this book interested me.

Heroes:

My parents because they made me. Also, all those that put their lives in danger for us and we don't appreciate them until we need them personally. And my friends who have always been there for me and send me those little cards, packages, emails, etc that made my day when I was going through chemo. The little things do tuely count the most. :)
