Scarlett

I was raised in the South, where music is braised in the culture. Growing up, Al Greene & Aretha Franklin where always playing in my house. As a young teenager, I was a scholarship kid at The Joffery Ballet. Then, at 17, I went back to NYC to study Vocal performance at The Manhattan School of Music. After my first year, Summer came. I auditioned for a big, national, touring company of West Side Story. I booked the gig, packed my bags, closed my schoolbooks, and have been working ever since. Although musicals paid the bills, I was longing to express myself in my own voice. Arriving in LA, I was introduced to whole new world. The world of having to work it out under "whatever" conditions...going with the flow in whatever scenario would transpire, (and boy, do I have some stories!), and that turned me into Scarlett!! Tone-Wah gave me that name, and it stuck. Why? Because my flair for drama, my love of corsetts, (and I am from the South after all!)
