About Me

Myspace LayoutsMy name is Alison. I come from an extremely musical and talented family that extends all the way back to the 1920's (big band era) when people had to travel and perform to gain a name for them. Alvino Rey and the King Sisters not only made a name for them but are also considered pioneers in the industry. The King Sisters and the King Family had an ongoing TV series and traveled and perform world wide.THE KING FAMILY SHOW ran 1/2 season in a one hour format on ABC. The following year it ran 30 minutes for 1/2 season also on ABC. It was then followed by about five years of 1 hour syndicated color Holiday Specials. Several of the shows and specials are available on DVD and VHS on Marilyn King's (one of the King Sisters) website. The reason the memories have lingered so many years after the shows aired, was the warmth...happiness...and great musical moments each show in the all too short series presented! Many of the King Family (Donna, Alyce, Luise, Alvino Rey, Robert Clarke, Jim Conkling, Don Driggs) are no longer alive, but their talents are still evident in this fantastic....and memorable...family program.Where do I fit in with the King Family? Well, it all started thru my great grandfather, William King Driggs. My grandfather is Lars Karleton Driggs (brother to the King Sisters and accomplished/recognized pianist and musician). Don Driggs (my father) a King Cousin and memeber of the King Family Show. I am the middle child of Don & Cheryl Driggs. Cherly was a model and she did several commercials before becoming a full time mother to their 5 children. Sean, Ashley (Harris), Alison, Dania (Phillips) and Crissy (Tufuga). I now have 3 daughters of my own Mikaila (12), Simone' (8) and Devyn (7).My elder sister Ashley Harris is an accomplished composer/writer/singer. She has two CD's in circulation in the Christian realm. All of us grew up performing, singing in plays, church, weddings etc. etc.... Ashley and my other sister Dania Phillips both teach "Lets Play Music" classes to young children. We all have musical abilities from singing, dancing; composing, acting even inventors have developed from our family. Whenever we get together for reunions or even funerals, there is always music involved and either a speech or talent show. Being shy is just unheard of in this family.I have played the piano since age 3. I was performing at Cal Arts as early as the age of 5. When I was 10 I performed with my school choir at Six Flags Magic Mountain, CA where I accompanied the choir on several song selections. I was also part of an elite traveling/competing choir in both Jr High and High School. We had the Women's Chamber Ensemble and the Madrigals @ Canyon High School.I also grew up dancing...tap, jazz, ballet and now hip hop. I enjoy dancing, singing (in my car), playing the piano and loving my kids.My eldest daughter has done several print ads and even a nation wide commercial for I-HOP which had a 2 year run.I am the Executive Manager/PR for JC Culture USA; Jackie Chan's management company in North America. We work with both his Hong Kong and Beijing offices; David McKeon is CEO of JC Culture USA. I run the office and handle PR. We represent people from actors, writers to musicians and inventors. Our office is in the beautiful Santa Clarita Valley. (Just north of Hollywood, CA)
