Mostly, I spend my time thinking about my volatile relationship with Sudoko. We're OK at the moment, but sometimes she just won't play fair! Don't know what I'd do without her though; she satisfies and stimulates me like no-one else...

I'd like to meet:

Whoopi Goldberg circa Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.

Music:

I like me some singer/songwriter shit: Ryan Adams, Tom McRae, Jack Johnson, Bob Dylan, Ben Folds, Dolly Parton, Siobhan Donaghey, Moby, Damien Dempsey, Joe Jackson, Aimee Mann, Rufus Wainwright and so on. Also, love Ash, Longview, Idlewild, Semisonic, JJ72, Mercury Rev, Incubus, A, The Beautiful South, The Beatles, Whiskeytown, Eels, The Wallflowers, Athlete, Muse, The Cranberries.

Movies:

Sideways, Junebug, Addams Family Values (best sequel ever), Garden State, The Squid and the Whale, The Emperor's New Groove (best Disney film you've never seen), Seven, Mallrats, Stand By Me, Zoolander, Brokeback Mountain (though it did destroy my belief in love), Amelie, a History of Violence. Plus all the classics and way more that I can't think of/am too embarrassed to put down.

Television:

Spaced (they made this for me - me!), League of Gentlemen, Scrubs, Family Guy, Peep Show, Grey's Anatomy. I have recently go into CSI: Crime Scene Investiagtion, which shows how current I am. I'm not sure I'm ready to jump into it's regional iterations, but I do think it is bloody fantastic!

Books:

I recommend anyone who likes to read, to pick up Jasper Fforde's books. The Thursday Next series was so weird and funny, you'd have to be pretty soul-deprived not to love them. Also a big fan of Steinbeck, Hornby and Murakami (though he is a queer one). I also love anything that Neil Gaiman writes; I want to be him.

Heroes:

Rolf Harris. There is literally nothing this man-God cannot do. Want art? Want music? Want someone to weep as your beloved pet gets put down? Just call Rolf! I love him.

The Big Question

Welcome back. Today, through a series of emails with a friend, a lot of my childhood came flooding back.  The weeks on end that my siblings, cousins and I used to spend in Exmouth during the summ...

I love my sister (the normal way)

First, a slight warning: this blog will mostly be in celebration of my sister and her impending wedding.  It may get a bit emotional, as anyone who is aware Bronagh's brilliance will understand.&...

Driving Mr Rhysy

You, my friends, are reading the words of one of society's elite: a twenty-two year-old with a driver's licence.  You don't come across one of those very often, let me tell you.  I am a prec...

To my loved ones (otherwise, it's just won't apply)

I realise I have left this slightly late and most of you will receive this after Christmas when you are not feeling the Christmas spirit quite so much. But allow me this, please, I'm feeling quite me...

Sweat and razorblades

Razorblades and rubber   I'm sick.  Not the sexy TV sick where they just act all fey and have absolutely no visible excretions; no, it's the drooling, sweating, shivering, coughing up blood ...

Liquid Dreams

The other night, I wrote this massive drunken blog about my obsession with sex, on account of Jon saying I didn't give enough away in my other discourses.  Luckily I didn't get round to posting i...
