Konnichi Wa~!Ok....I'm going to write this glockenspiel in the hopes that I don't have to re-write it every time I meet a long lost friend on here. So here goes...After graduating from Laurier I moved to Japan and worked as an assitant English teacher at a jr. high school in downtown Tokyo. Probably, one of the best experiences of my life. Love kids, love working with them. It was seriously the best.But...It wasn't doing much for my career so I had to start thinking about some direction. So, I decided to move into IT and started as Help Desk for a big investment bank. Did that for a while and eventually moved over to CitiBank as a Server Administrator for my remaining years. All in all I was there for 6.5 years which is still mind boggling. I learned the language and can speak Japanese fluently. I used it in my job which was a great way to learn. As a hobby, I DJed around Japan and made a bit of a name for myself. At my peak I opened for Paul Van Dyke. (Not sure if that says much, lol I'm not the biggest fan of Trance...) During that time (5yrs) I lived with my girlfriend but things unfortunately took a turn for the worse and we ended things. It was around that time that I decided to head home and embark on new adventures. Live back in my hometown of Waterloo. Funny how things turn full circle. Never would I have thought that I would be back in Waterloo but such is life. Work for RIM in IT. I am very happy to be back with family and friends and wonder how long before I get the itch to move on to new and exciting places. Well that's about it, if you want more you will have to msg me!THE NAME CHANGE...In university I decided to finally start using my real first name Vishal. Manu is my middle name and was used by my rentals as sort of a pet name as a kid. It carried through elementary school and the rest is history.
In Japan all my peeps know me as Vishal but I'm back now so I guess it's kinda confusing for some. I use Vishal, but whateva works w/ you is aiit w/ me!
