About Me

Greetings! I work as a broadcast technician for SC Educational Television and a keyboardist/musician/composer/drummer/recordist in most of the time that's left over. My musical interests are primarily Jazz, Progressive rock, ambient/electronic, film soundtracks. “Monk approved" is my tribute to the great composer Thelonious Monk. This tune (recorded 7-07) by the Funkdawgs)is a quirky mainstream jazz piece with a 16 bar blues middle section. (Think Jimmy Smith Hammond organ meets smooth jazz) “Find your groove thing” was recorded by the Funkdawgs virtual jazz group in 2005. “Merry-Go Rocka Cha Cha” is a high energy fusion piece also recorded by the Funkdawgs in 2006.
3-09-Added a new composition for the Funkdawgs entitled "Westbound," and is dedicated to Pat Metheny, one of my favorite jazz composers.
11-08-Added one piano solo pieces-"Lost Horizon."
5-08 -Added brand new composition "On Fire!", recorded by the Funkdawgs. Check it out!
I have three original music CD's available and am completing a fourth one now. I am a member of the world's first virtual jazz group the Funkdawgs. (www.funkdawgs.com) The Dawgs met on the internet in 2000 and have been creating music ever since. We have three CD's of music available at CDbaby.com. We met in person in 4-06 and played a live show in Nashville, TN at the Gibson showcase. The video from this show can now be seen at our website. (www.funkdawgs.com) Our third CD entitled "A Dawgs life" was released 9-06. Music clips from the new CD are downloadable from CDBaby.com. Please check out our tunes as we think you will really enjoy our earthy music vibe-that was mostly created over the internet!
I am available to do local or international studio session work, keyboard/drum tracks or arranging help. I am a member of Studiotraxx.com and can set up a project with you there. For music samples please click on the Studiotraxx icon on the left side of this page.. Also I'm always interested in hearing from musicians or music lovers out there who have similar interests. Thanks for listening!
