Check out my actor's demo reel, the JOURNEY OF THE HEART trailer and the DISCONTINUED movie trailers posted on this site. I wrote DISCONTINUED and JOURNEY OF THE HEART and am writing DARK SEED to create acting opportunities for myself and to pen stories with an African-American sensiblity that moved people to laughter, tears and more importantly empathy. And were it not for the valuable contributions of the creative crew, talented cast, generous sponsors and specifically Sheldon McCullough my films would not be ALIVE. On a different note, I must say that my first artistic love is DANCE. As cheesy as this may sound dance generates a "euphoric" kind of feeling for me that no other activity can. I started dancing and choreographing at the age of 8 at Chicago's Meyring park summer day camp annual talent show and came in first place for four years consecutively. At Curie performing arts high school, I went on to choreograph and dance in their annual spring showcase. My interest in pursuing dance as a profession came to an end when I listened to so many people tell me there were limited opportunities for dancers, that I wasn't tall or slender enough and needed more professional training. Consequently, I listened to them but GOD had another creative outlet for me to express myself which came in the form of acting which fortunate for me still involves dancing from time to time. Shout out to Debbie Allen for inspiring me to dance and direct. I must acknowledge Chicago's ETA Creative Arts Foundation for spearheading my acting career. And I am very grateful to have worked with Chicago's fine Theater and Indie film community. Lastly, I dedicate this site to my family, "through thick and thin" friends and to the loving memories of my beloved Tequency "Auntie" Burt and Playwright/Director, Charles Michael Moore. If you're in need of portraits/headshots and or lighting for your film, click on "SHELDON" on my top friends list and ask him about his services. FYI:He provided the lighting for my film, "Journey of the Heart".
