dj kibz has been mixing for about to 4-5 years, he started playing around with decks at the age of 15 years old. Although it took him a couple of years to fully be involved with mixing and to understand how it work. He started listing to house&garage on pirate stations at the age of 13 which he was introduce by a close friend back then, who played him a tape which he recorded on mission fm 90.6 fm. It took kibz by suprise it was different to the stuff that he grew up listen to, like r'n'b, hip hop, drum 'n bass ( formely known as jungle) it was different up lifting bass line, 4 heavy beats and meloding sound no so different to old skool r 'n' b music structure, but different and uplifting. Has he started becoming heavily involved to listening to garage, he regularly started listing to pirate station particurly mission fm which was big in london at the time and on mission fm there were two dj's with 2 different style of mixing. One dj went by the of name matt b, usually played U.S garage and U.k garage and then there dj fonty this guy was complety different he was a heavy weight at mixing garage to r 'n'b and vice versa this alone was just mind blowing as both had different tempo, bpm (beat per minute). With this in mind, he started buying records and the first one he bought was Nervous track which had most of todd edwards early stuff on nervous label......(finishing soon)......with pictures and music bless.....
