Take a walk down memory lane with Tokion's new issue "LEGENDS"
Now is as good a time as any to take a look back on some of the most intriguing, inspiring and interesting people who have carved their indelible image into pop culture's etch-a-sketch memory. Artists and personalities may have gotten more popular and well-respected in their time, but the Legends we profile in our new issue have solidified their legacy as sustained and re-assessable over and over.
We sat down for Q&A sessions with the likes of the inimitable verité filmmaker Albert Maysles, the celebrated photographer of Tokyo's post-war recovery Daido Moriyama, the subversive and innovative producer/director Roger Corman and the man who razed the soundtracking industry with his haunting and epic film scores, Ennio Morricone.
Also, in this issue, the magic tricks of Muhammad Ali, a photographic diary of the Rolling Stones Tattoo You tour and a section of illustrated "Myths & Marvels" by some of our favorite artists, David Shrigley, Keiko Itakura, Tiffany Malakooti and J. Penry.
With an issue this packed with amazing stories and images, Tokion itself may become legendary!
