Iacon got together in 2001. Initially formed by Ben & Log and later joined by Simon. They have got involved with a variety of musical ventures ranging from gigs at festivals to 4 decks and FX sets at exhibitions to warehouse parties involving their sound being presented via hundreds of radios of all ages and variety by hung from the rafters.
Iacon`s instrumental music results in samples, soundbites and dialogue being reclaimed, modified and taken out of context to create new meanings. Preconceptions of how instruments should be played are destroyed, ideas and stories are told...and they buy loads of shit from charity shops too.
In 2007 they are soundtracking summer evenings via a series of monthly outdoor weekend events. 'All Monsters Attack' nights will feature all three members of Iacon playing and manipulating turntables creating a soundscape taking in influences from a diverse range of sources including Electronica, Krautrock, Funk, Disco, Minimalism, Hip-Hop, Math Rock, Folk, Psychedelia & Jazz. Look out for special guests each month too!
